The San Antonio Chapter of the Fulbright Association held its largest event yet on July 24-25, 2014--The Southwest Fulbright Symposium. Below are highlights of the entire program and the collaboration team. Photos follow the text description below.

The Southwest Fulbright Symposium, originated by the San Antonio Chapter, Fulbright Association, is dedicated to promoting international educational and cultural exchanges that foster a global network of all internationalists, including but not limited to Fulbright Alumni.

Thursday, July 24, 6:30-8:30 p.m.—Welcome Reception, Spanish Governor’s Palace, hosted by Office of the Mayor, San Antonio, and the City of San Antonio. Keynote by Mayor at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, July 25, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.—Symposium Presentations, Durango Building, UTSA Downtown Campus. Hosted by The Mexico Center.  

Friday, July 25, 6:00-8:00 p.m.—Closing Reception & Keynote, Lonesome Dove River Room, (River Level, Convention Center), co-hosted by Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center & City of San Antonio. Keynote by Former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and Former Mayor of San Antonio, Dr. Henry Cisneros at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, July 25, immediately following Keynote—Complimentary River Cruise, San Antonio River. Hosted by Rio San Antonio Cruises.
